Ash, Sol and the late Nick Mr Nick are joined by those two sons of filth Mr Paul and Mr Chris of the Pharos Project for a newscast! We take a look at the Make a Wish Foundations plan to turn San Francisco into Gotham City, deftly avoid mentioning a disgraced media personality, examine the roster of The Legion of Super Pets, apologise for factual mistakes on previous episodes and pontificate on the state of the stars (both Wars and Trek)! Make a Wish Makes San Fran Gotham: Netflix genre exclusive gets a name and a premise: Star Wars delayed... ... and Joe Cornish to tackle Trek? Sol and Ash record from the comfort of the NATRT Geekcave to discuss their first seasonal film, Stephen King's directorial debut 'Maximum Overdrive'. Can the master of horror produce a cinematic masterpiece worthy of his name, or does it all come out smelling of diesel fumes and failure? Is Emilio Estevez a well respected actor? What will prove more painful for Sol and Ash, watching the film or trying to talk about it in a coherent manner for the podcast? And when it comes down to it, who made who? Some of these questions may be answered in this tortured volume of Nights at the Round Table. *CONTAINS SPOILERS* The Attitude Era Podcast: https://www.facebook.com/AttitudeEraPodcast BONUS MYSTERY LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pI4Ye4EZo00 Nights at the Round Table can be found on the web (http://www.nightsattheroundtable.net) or via Twitter (@natrtpodcast), Facebook (facebook.com/nightsattheroundtable), e-mail (feedback@nightsattheroundtable.net) or leave a voicemail for us on our UK number: 020 3290 2666 Follow the hosts: |

In this exciting episode of The Nights at the Round Table Podcast our intrepid Antipodean podcaster Australian Nick embarks on a night out that will see him pontificate with peers, dice with directors, argue with actors and come face to face with people who have been part of the Hitchhiker's legacy for the past 35 years. If this was not cause enough for surprise then surprise soon gets turned to absolute astonishment when Neil Gaiman turns up!
This very special episode of Nights at the Round Table was made possible thanks to our fellow podcasters at The Pharos Project, various audience members, and the cast and crew who not only gave their time to be interviewed but also provided us with some exclusive audio clips that can be heard throughout the podcast.
The 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show Live!' can be found at http://www.hitchhikerslive.com. Visit for more information including tour dates and guest performers.

Ash, Sol and Nick attempt to record an episode with the help of friend to all the animals, Beastmaster Pete. Things start promisingly with Nick and Pete reviewing 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy: Live!', but rapidly go downhill as Nick attempts to explain what the fourth dimension is without the aid of a LSD/Tequila cocktail. We move onto more serious matters as we discuss the worlds plutonium shortage, and end the night by discovering that the Netflix catalogue is closely intertwined with the Bittorrent trends of its potential customers. There may also have been some drunken singing. Beastmaster Pete was kindly on loan from The Pharos Project podcast, found at http://www.thepharosproject.com. Up from the depths of 'Prehistoric History'* rise Ash, Sol, Paul and Chris who prepare to do battle with a legend of British cinematic history... Gorgo! This 1961 classic was at least 3 years in the making. Mainly because it ran out of money. It's got minimal character development, no named female characters, and an Irish orphan that really doesn't deserve to survive the film. Yet, for some reason, we're able to talk about it for over an hour. What is its mysterious allure? Is it connected to Xulud? And how many times can the same building be destroyed without the audience getting suspicious? These questions may (or may not) be answered... * as phrased by the official trailer for 'Gorgo' (1961) Gorgo can be bought on import Blu-ray here: http://dvdworldusa.com/shopexd.asp?id=99136 (It is definitely region free) Waiting for Gorgo can be seen here: http://www.cinemagine.com/waitingforgorgo/ Paul and Chris are from 'The Pharos Project' (http://www.thepharosproject.com), and are partial to the occasional Dorkin's. Ash & Sol are reunited with Australian Nick, who has returned from his sabbatical and is ready to tackle a week's worth of news. Star Wars is shooting on 35mm, #Batfleck takes the internet by storm, and a "totally legit" dentist is trying to clone John Lennon. In addition to that NASA have some pieces of space exploration history they can't wait to get rid of, and movie promotion reaches a new level of tastelessness which leads to a competitive showdown between Sol and Nick... Apologies for the first release of this episode not having any audio... gremlins in the system! This version should work just fine! Ash & Sol take advantage of the pubs free Wi-Fi to connect with their fellow podcaster Australian Nick, currently seeking his fortune in Los Angeles. They discuss his experiences at the Gallifrey One convention, the ongoing war with The Pharos Project, and his future plans for his holiday, which sound like they might go a bit 'Hunter S. Thompson'. There is also more talk of the Nine Worlds convention, X-Men: Days of Future Past casting, and some somewhat sad news to end the podcast on. NOTE: Apologies for the quality of Nicks audio feed.
